2. This is the second year I’ve compiled this list. I have fewer college students in my address book this year — mostly because I wasn’t able to make it to SND/Vegas last year — so I “only” solicited in my blog, as opposed to spamming every kid I knew. Which is what I did last year.

3. The point is to help you get your face out there. Every little bump helps. (To your buzz, I man. Not on your face.)

4. Always glad to provide college journalists with publicity. Now: Send me some cool pages, willya? Or links to cool multimedia pieces. Or whatever. That’s the problem with a blog: The beast can never eat enough.

I have yet to see a hard copy, believe it or not — I’m kind of holding off on judging it until I do.

I have a lot — and I mean a HUGE bunch — of faith in Knowles, Berlin, Cavendish, Crutchmer, Marlatt and the rest of the Tribune visual braintrust. That’s not a design staff; that’s an all-star team. I’d like to believe their product would be as outstanding as the talent.
